It has been raining non-stop since Saturday. Aaron is in Raleigh today for an exciting interview for a new job. Yesterday he was on the hunt for our next apartment and he found it! I talked to the leasing agent to start the paper work this morning.
I am glad that we are renting an apartment from a building this time instead of an individual private condo owner. All of the applications, payments, and paper work are digital, which makes it so much easier than when we moved to Florida. Last summer when we were relocating from out of state, we had to figure out how to scan/fax/copy/send our hard copy lease. I am also looking forward to having maintenance on site, a lake to walk around, a fitness center, and (the best part) a washer and dryer in out apartment!
We are counting down the days until the big move. In mid-June will will say, "so long" to South Florida for good and move up to our new home in Raleigh, NC.
Living in South Florida for the past nine months has been a complicated roller coaster of emotions. I have felt isolated, inspired, focused, lazy, angry, over heated, sad, lonely, happy and about a million other emotions that happen in daily human life.
Aaron and I both agree that when we look back on this year we will smile and remind ourselves that this is where we lived together for the first time and that this is where we learned that it is hard to live far away from your family and friends. We will remember how lucky we were to have one another for support and how we learned so much about what we want in our lives from a few mistakes that we made. I will miss the drive through Key Lime pie...
Now I am going to catch up on Mad Men, make some dinner, and then take a shower before I have to go pick Aaron up from FLL later tonight.
